HISTORY

Association was found on 20. May 1955 as Serbian Town Planers Society. Later on, the Serbian Town Planers League proceeds with society's activity. Since 24. November 1990 League was reorganized and proceeds with work under the title: Serbian Town Planers Association (Udruzenje urbanista Srbije/UUS). Its activities UUS articulates through Statute of Association (VIII chapters with 72 paragraphs) that was adopted at Association's Assembly in Sremski Karlovci, on 24. November 1990. At Association's Assembly on 30. October 1991 in accordance with corresponding international professional and ethics standards (IsoCarp), Code of Town Planners Moral Ethics was established (articulate in 3 chapters with 32 paragraphs).

STRUCTURE OF ASSOCIATION

Association is organized as integral professional, experts and public organization of Serbian town planners. In order to realize its goals and tasks on provinces territory also as on others regions, Provinces Associations, Societies and Professional sections were established. STPA consists of:

	Vojvodina Town Planers Association (Udruzenje urbanista Vojvodine/UUV),
	Belgrade Urbanists Association (Drustvo urbanista Beograda/DUB),
	Nis Urbanists Association (Drustvo urbanista Nisa/DUN),
	Zlatibor County Town Planers Association.

STPA is broadening its work and cooperation with similar associations through unions with them. That's why union with the Spatial Planners Association of Serbia is established, also as union STPA with Business Society.

Serbian Town Planners Association is a member of			ISoCaRP - International Society of
City and Regional Planners, with the aim of working together inside the global network of aknowleged and highly qulified proffessionals.
